Lonsdale Wealth Management 'Sponsor of the Day' for St Albans City Youth team

On July 15th 2020 Lonsdale Wealth Management’s St Albans office was St Albans Youth City Football Club’s ‘Sponsor of the Day’. Lonsdale Wealth Management sponsor local St Albans sporting teams including the St Albans ‘central’ City Youth Football Club (under 12’s) team.

St Albans Youth Football positive about the future

Steve Mann, Commercial Manager at St Albans City Youth FC said:

‘We have taken the lead in making sure that all of our players and coaches are up to speed with the latest COVID-19 related Guidance from both the FA and the Government. We have done everything we can to facilitate a safe return to some footballing activity in light of the restrictions the Pandemic has placed on our young people. As we all know times are challenging but we remain very optimistic about the future of the Club as we look to continually improve both on and off the field. During the Pandemic we have been successful in apply for funding from the Football Foundation, Herts Community Foundation and Sport England. We are still hopeful regarding an application made to the National Lottery. Like many Community Groups the cancellation of all of our Summer fundraising initiatives cost us around £25,000 in potential net income.’

‘We have supported the St Albans ‘central’ City Youth football team since the 2015/16 football season when we bought new football kit for the team. We wish them well and hope that football can return to some normality soon. We are committed to supporting local community sports events in and around St Albans. We sponsored the Watford Grassroots Football team during the 2017/18 football season. In 2019 Lonsdale Wealth Management and Lonsdale Mortgages sponsored Tri-Force our local junior St Albans triathlon club, when they hosted an East Region triathlon event at Sandringham School, St Albans.’
