Lonsdale Investment Policy Committee meeting held at J.P. Morgan

The Lonsdale Investment Policy Committee held their March bi-monthly committee meeting at J.P. Morgan Asset Management’s City offices, Victoria Embankment, London.  

The Lonsdale Investment Policy Committee listened to presentations from Mark Jackson, Alex Dryden and Andrew Robbens, who are all members of the J.P. Morgan Asset Management team.

Mark Jackson, Vice President, is a Client Portfolio Manager in the Multi-Asset Solutions team, based in London.  Mark is responsible for marketing a range of multi-asset products.  He discussed the key themes and investment strategies for the JP Morgan Global Macro Opportunities Fund with the Lonsdale Services team.

Alex Dryden is an Associate in the Global Market Insights Strategy Team at J.P. Morgan Asset Management. Alex is responsible for providing market commentary to UK and European clients.  He provided a global macroeconomic update for the Lonsdale Services team.

Andrew Robbens, Client Portfolio Manager, J.P. Morgan Asset Management discussed the UK Equity Core Fund and updated the team on the UK Economy.

Mark Slobom, Chair of the Investment Policy Committee and independent financial adviser, in Harpenden said: 

‘The Investment Policy Committee are grateful to the J.P. Morgan Asset Management team for their presentations and updates.  Meeting investment team members is an integral part of our investment process.  As well as regularly meeting representatives of investment houses each member of our Investment Policy Committee is allocated at least one mutual fund group to follow and we subscribe to Morningstar to assist us.  The Investment Policy Committee recommend mutual fund groups with sizeable funds under management, where there is a strong team bias.  We like investment houses where strategists and analysts support teams.  Every year we review the investment houses we use and ask them to complete a questionnaire which we score on our investment matrix.  Regularly visiting and speaking to investment teams at their offices is also an essential part of our investment due diligence.  If you want to find out more about our investment process read my interview – Our Investment Policy Committee.’
